Manna of Life

       Today we were split into two groups, my group went to Manna of Life Ministries. Before we got there the people did not think they were going to get any volunteers to help out today because of the rain, so when we showed up they were beyond thrilled. It was a great feeling knowing we could not only help the people in the community, but also the people in charge of Manna of Life.
       From serving the community I learned that there are all different types of people, different ages, different cultures that face struggling situations and need a hand. It was nice seeing how much these people appreciated the meal. From preparing the meals with the people from Manna of Life I learned how much time and dedication these people must put into preparing and making meals. The one lady had a job at a hospital and worked an overnight shift last night and came right from work. She was going back into work later tonight again. These people take time out of their schedules to make serving the community possible. It just showed me that no one should ever use the excuse "I dont have time to help out," because we were only there for a few hours this morning and it was a huge help!
